M3204 - Management of information systems

Module objectives:

·         To raise awareness of the analysis of the processes involved in the organisation and integration of computer systems.

·         To understand the organisation of resources required to manage a company's computer services effectively.

Skills covered:

·         Identifying and analysing the different processes in an organization.

·         Identifying the activities, jobs and constraints linked to the management of an information system (IS).

Prerequisites:

·         M2203, M2204

Content:

·         Mapping an organisation's processes.

·         Approach to ISs according to the technological, human, organisational and financial dimensions.

·         Integration of ISs: business process, integrated management software / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), supply chain management, etc.

·         Organization of the IT function.

·         Change management and IT project management.

·         Control of IT management: budgeting of costs, profitability of investment projects.

Implementation procedures:

·         Promoting the use of spreadsheets and integrated management software through case studies.
