Research activities

The aim of my research is to analyze the electronic communication (email, SMS) and more specifically the language that is being conveyed. For this, my research is part of a pragmatic view of language and communication, which involves taking into account the structure of language, as well as the characteristics of the communication situation.

  • Participant to the international project sms4science coordinate by the  CENTAL from the University of Louvain, with Cédrick Fairon - The aim of the sms4science project is to contribute to the study of SMS communication and of its language. In order to reach this target, researchers from various countries are joining forces to undertake the composition, for a large number of languages, of a vast SMS corpus for scientific research.
