  1. Performance of the REVEALS model to reconstruct present mountain vegetation cover in the North-Western Alps: A model evaluation for past land cover reconstruction

evaluates the performance of the REVEALS model in the North-Western Alps i.e. the first module of the LRA scheme applying REVEALS. The main limitations for the use of REVEALS in mountain regions concerned the integration reconstructions of regional vegetation for the study region. The study further underlines the need to understand evaluation of input parameters e.g. wind speed and consideration of the sampling design i.e. number of sites to the vegetation map closer than raw pollen data . The present study demonstrates the potential of REVEALS evaluates the application of the REVEALS model for long-term vegetation reconstruction in the Northwestern challenges related to insect pollination and the complexity of mountain topography Performance of the REVEALS model to reconstruct present mountain vegetation cover in the North-Western North-Western Alps: A model evaluation for past land cover reconstruction

  2. Testing the Effect of Relative Pollen Productivity on the REVEALS Model: A Validated Reconstruction of Europe-Wide Holocene Vegetation

pollen productivities RPPs one of the key input parameters of REVEALS to test model sensitivity. Finally to reconstructions for Europe during the Holocene are crucial to improving our understanding of landscape dynamics pollen-based reconstructions of plant cover in Europe at a spatial resolution of 1 1 over the Holocene last 11.7 7 ka BP using the Regional Estimates of VEgetation Abundance from Large Sites REVEALS model. This study main aims. First to present the most accurate and reliable generation of REVEALS reconstructions across Europe Testing the Effect of Relative Pollen Productivity on the REVEALS Model: A Validated Reconstruction of Europe-Wide

  6. Historical and Paleolimnological Reconstruction of Degassing Maar Lakes: The Case of Lake Pavin (Auvergne, France), for the Last Two Thousand Years - A Comprehensive Study of Volcanic Phenomena

hazard until the Nyos Lake catastrophe 1986 . Historical degassing events published for Lakes Pavin France combined with those of Monoun 1984 and Nyos 1986 in Cameroon allow to propose a grid of degassing descriptors A recent modelling of sudden lake degassing confirms that Pavin area is a potential hazard. Other world 1783 1936 sudden limnic eruption 1551 1785 emission of fog vapors and thick clouds 1550 1750 associated spontaneous healings have been reported as miracles by the church authorities. Pavin described as a marvelous several European lakes, including Lake Pavin. The study of these phenomena over five centuries, combined environmental research, reveals past degassing events and confirms that Lake Pavin remains a potential hazard, providing lakes were considered a new natural hazard until the Nyos Lake catastrophe in 1986, but historical events providing a model for assessing risks in other maar lakes worldwide. outcomes within PICL from the conception of educational modules to the measurement of the learners production We first provide the theoretical context and goals of the study that motivated the research project. transitional results of this four-year longitudinal study specifically in terms of the assessment of self-efficacy 979-10-344-01 16-01 Abstract The present paper was triggered by a twofold line of thought. The initial perspective falls within the scope of applied and situated research. The second perspective stems from cognitive embodied self-efficacy beliefs in the classroom: some considerations on the value of an interdisciplinary embodied embodied methodology for French Learners of English

  9. Evaluating the Impact of Time-to-Collision Constraint and Head Gaze on Usability for Robot Navigation in a Corridor

comparing the nature of the pedestrian human or a robot. Based on the results of this experiment and the literature altering the trajectory and by showing the robot awareness of the human presence through the robot head crossing a robot. The visual behavior and user experience of pedestrians were assessed. The first experiment modifying the robot trajectory and glancing at the human is necessary to significantly increase the usability usability of the robot. We suggest using mutual manifestness is crucial for an anthropomorphic robot when Evaluating the Impact of Time-to-Collision Constraint and Head Gaze on Usability for Robot Navigation
