  1. Searching in clutter: Visual behavior and performance of expert action video game players

according to the expertise of the searcher. The present study extended these findings to the domain of action uncluttered and high clutter . Reaction times and accuracy served as measures of performance and the visual visual behavior was assessed using the number and duration of eye fixations. Our findings suggest that visual visual scenes can be more difficult due to the presence of clutter. However studies in various domains clutter has a negative influence on performance and alters the visual behavior during visual search in action Searching in clutter: Visual behavior and performance of expert action video game players

  2. Earcons to reduce mode confusions in partially automated vehicles : Development and application of an evaluation method

through the use of pitch rhythm and number of note variations could improve mode awareness. The goal of indicating the hierarchy of automation modes. The results of these experiments indicated that the earcons comprehend the automation mode indicated by the interface. Earcons reflecting the hierarchy of these automation of the present study was therefore to develop and test a method for assessing the efficiency of earcons comprehended during the performance of a parallel visual task that mimicked the visual demand of driving with partially automated vehicles : Development and application of an evaluation method

  3. Local adaptations of Mediterranean sheep and goats through an integrative approach

pastoral areas. We then used the programs PCAdapt and LFMM to identify signatures of artificial and environmental adaptations. Here, we considered local Mediterranean breeds of goats (n = 17) and sheep (n = 25) from from Italy, France and Spain. Based on historical archives, we selected the breeds potentially most linked a territory and defined their original cradle (i.e., the geographical area in which the breed has emerged) Small ruminants are suited to a wide variety of habitats and thus represent promising study models for Local adaptations of Mediterranean sheep and goats through an integrative approach

that the ratio between the number of sapwood and heartwood rings varies across the Alps. At the same societies and forests. Precise dating of felling phases accurate estimation of the age of harvested wood statistical model that predicts the cambial age of L. decidua trees based on the number of heartwood rings. By extension used to estimate the number of sapwood rings so as to approximate the felling date and to more precise a forest tree species throughout the Alps and in certain regions of central Europe. 7. The Mediating Effect of Presence on Musical Emotions in Virtual Environments

Extended versions of 51 s length of four excerpts from the Eerola and Vuoskoski dataset of emotional film study investigates the mediating role of presence in the relationship between immersion and musical emotions within virtual reality VR environments. We examine how the level of immersion facilitated by VR technology predicts musical emotions and fully mediates the relationship between immersion and musical emotions. These Makransky's Multimodal Presence Scale and musical emotions were assessed using the Geneva Music-Induced Affect The Mediating Effect of Presence on Musical Emotions in Virtual Environments
