  5. European larch sapwood: a model for predicting the cambial age and for a more accurate dating - Dendrochronologia

so as to approximate the felling date and to more precise date archaeological larch timber. The model samples from across the European Alps to provide a robust statistical model that predicts the cambial age of based on the number of heartwood rings. By extension this model can be used to estimate the number of missing rings to achieve accurate estimations. Our results also evidence that the ratio between the number of sapwood and heartwood rings varies across the Alps. At the same time the indicator developed in this work is European larch sapwood: a model for predicting the cambial age and for a more accurate dating - Dendrochronologia

  6. More than agriculture: Analysing time-cumulative human impact on European land-cover of second half of the Holocene

contributes valuable insights to the onset of agriculture as the start of the Anthropocene. Lire la suite modifications of land-cover dynamics is key to understanding the human role in the Earth system. Recent advances in Our study aims to evaluate the role of human impact on European land-cover over the past 6000 years anthropogenic influence. The discrepancies between the two datasets are attributed to human activity and quantified 60 throughout the second half of the Holocene. However initially high HPI values up to 70 at 5700 6200 anthropogenic land-cover modifications throughout the second half of the Holocene. Population estimates correlate published data on land use. High HPI values in the Mid-Holocene suggest significant impact of early impact on European land-cover of second half of the Holocene

Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Supported Education - (Volume 2) context to better understand the impact of these factors in education. This study investigated the impact scores compared to those in the incongruent condition. These findings highlight the potential of VR for specific ethnic groups. Virtual reality VR offers a way to study these dynamics by controlling variables influence the outcomes of racial congruence between students and teachers highlighting the importance investigating the nuances of social dynamics in educational settings and emphasize the importance of The Impact of Racial Congruence Between Instructor and Learner on Memorization Outcomes in a Virtual

site in the Pyrenees or in the Alps elsewhere in Europe. We tentatively link this moraine to the 8.2 ka constituting the most robust directly dated Holocene glacier chronology in the Pyrenees. The moraine age constrained except for the Little Ice Age period. In this study we attempt to bridge this knowledge gap conjunction with the radiocarbon ages from nearby peat bog cores. Further we hypothesize on the role of Mid-Holocene translate into peat bog deposits in the vicinity of the moraines. Finally based on archeological evidence probablement liée à l’événement froid de 8,2 ka, et explore ses implications climatiques et archéologiques Holocene glacier evolution in the Pyrenees based on 36Cl cosmic-ray exposure dating (Troumouse Cirque
