  1. Are the remnants of old-growth mountain forests always relevant to inspire close-to-nature forest management and efficient biodiversity conservation?

aimed to i identify factors that explain the current location of AMFs ii assess the potential of these the relevance of the current AMF network for biodiversity conservation. We used a set of 10 344 1 ha-plots complementary investigations at a regional scale to better understand the influence of past-human activity on spatial distribution of reference ecosystems. We also illustrate the added value of including geological communities in the analysis of ecological representativeness of networks dedicated to biodiversity conservation qu’au-delà des aspects biogéographiques et topographiques, le type de propriété est la caractéristique Are the remnants of old-growth mountain forests always relevant to inspire close-to-nature forest management

  5. Distribution of arsenic concentrations in soils historically impacted by mining activities: Cross-validation of pXRF methodology and application to the Orbiel valley (France)

This study aims to provide using portable X-ray fluorescence pXRF rigorous maps of soil As concentrations several decades. After a cross-calibration of pXRF with ICP-MS we mapped As distribution in topsoils and ensured accurate measurements of As Pb Mn and Zn. Finally the maps of As distribution over the valley compartments suggest both a local origin of this contamination and the influence of rivers but above all atmosphere floodplains particularly impacted 178 mg kg-1 likely due to transport processes. Our findings confirm pXRF as Occitanie Pyrénées-Méditerranée, France, et géré par Toulouse INP. Cette étude n'aurait pas pu être menée sans Cross-validation of pXRF methodology and application to the Orbiel valley (France) Distribution of arsenic concentrations in soils historically impacted by mining activities: Cross-validation

  6. Evaluating the Impact of Time-to-Collision Constraint and Head Gaze on Usability for Robot Navigation in a Corridor

glancing at the human is necessary to significantly increase the usability of the robot. We suggest using article aims at finding how an anthropomorphic robot like a PR2 robot with a height of 1.33 m should modifying its trajectory to be more legible and using its head to glance at the human. Experiment 2 evaluated 1109 THMS.2023.3314894 Navigation of robots among humans is still an open problem especially in confined corridor in order to increase its usability. 10. Are the remnants of both ancient and mature forest relevant to inspire close-to-nature forest management and efficient biodiversity conservation?

relevance of the current AMF network for the conservation of forest-dwelling taxa. We used a set of 10 344 representative of the range of abiotic conditions that prevail on the Northern slope of the Pyrenees Plus managers who wish to promote biodiversity-friendly forestry. However can the remnants of primeval and old-growth patches have been identified and accurately located. The Pyrenees still contain remnants of ancient forests location of AMFs and their environmental conditions are likely not random. This study aims to i identify Are the remnants of both ancient and mature forest relevant to inspire close-to-nature forest management
