Combining managerial, strategic, technological, and human-centered skills, students develop the critical thinking, agile mindset, and cross-cultural leadership needed to support organisations through digital transformation

Enjeux

The Master in Digital Project Management is an internationally oriented programme that trains project managers, entrepreneurs, and intrapreneurs to lead complex digital initiatives in fast-changing environments. At the intersection of business, technology, and social sciences, it develops the strategic, managerial, and operational skills needed to drive innovation and manage digital transformation.

The Master DPM is the English-language twin of the Master Management de Projets Numériques, created in 1999. Built on over twenty-five years of academic expertise and strong professional partnerships, it combines interdisciplinary teaching with a deeply practical approach, preparing adaptable, forward-thinking professionals capable of navigating the full complexity of the digital economy across industries and cultures.

Curriculum : The curriculum spans the full spectrum of digital project management, from foundational methodologies and agile frameworks to data governance, and cross-cultural leadership. Students engage with critical and interdisciplinary perspectives on digital technology, exploring entrepreneurship, sustainability, and the evolving dynamics of the digital economy. Alongside academic rigour, the programme cultivates the broader competencies that define success in the digital age : critical thinking, creativity, anticipation, and the ability to engage meaningfully with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders. Teaching is delivered by a combination of academic faculty and professional experts, including alumni of the programme. The programme's advisory board, composed of alumni and professional partners, continuously adapts the curriculum to emerging roles, challenges and technologies.

Professional Immersion : Toulouse, one of Europe's most dynamic tech and innovation hubs, provides a stimulating environment for professional and personal growth. Students benefit from a rich ecosystem of digital events, including conferences at la Cantine Numérique, le Quai des Savoirs, and NovaMélée, as well as collaborative projects organised with La Mélée and its incubator Le Starter. The programme's deep roots in Toulouse's digital ecosystem give students access to a powerful professional network from the very start. A week-long Learning Expedition to Paris, Lyon, or Marseille immerses students in France's most dynamic digital hubs, expanding their professional network and opening doors to internship opportunities.

Integration and Cultural Life : Students are fully supported in their integration into French professional and social life. French language classes, delivered in partnership with the Alliance Française, build practical communication skills, while a curated cultural programme introduces students to the French art de vivre, strengthening cohesion within a multicultural cohort. Cross-cultural management is embedded in the curriculum, equipping students to lead across cultures and navigate the French and European professional landscape with confidence.

Internship and Thesis : The programme culminates in a supervised internship (a minimum of 13 weeks, with 26 weeks strongly recommended), during which students apply their skills in real organisational settings anywhere in the world. A research thesis, grounded in field experience and academic literature, completes the journey, requiring students to formulate a focused research question and produce a critical, well-argued analysis rooted in the dynamics of the digital economy. The thesis is defended before a jury composed of academic faculty and the student's professional supervisor.

Career Outcomes : The programme serves as both a professional launchpad and an innovation incubator. Graduates go on to meet the recruitment needs of public and private organisations (state agencies, consulting firms, startups, and private companies of all sizes), while others use the programme as a springboard for entrepreneurial and doctoral pursuits of their own.
